I know I am slowly slipping away in this bloggy world, but frankly, I can’t keep up these days.
G has had a rough week. He started out seemingly well, but has gotten progressively worse since about Friday. We were instructed to give him his meds around the clock for four days and then we could wean down to about 3x a day. Obviously, this didn’t work. Tylenol had zero impact on his pain and presumably the pain was too intense to be brought down quickly when we did give him the prescription meds. So, I called today to get a refill as we were down to the last dose. The on call nurse said he DID have a refill, even though it clearly stated No REFILL on the bottle. I must be delirious. Anyhoo, we got the aforementioned meds and he is now resting quietly instead of writhing around smacking my hand away when I try to soothe him. I plan to keep him in this state for at least another day.
The other children have been busy digging in the dirt in the backyard. We have a sandbox, but apparently the giant box of dirt that serves as our garden’s home in the summer is more fun. At least they haven’t tried running the hose into it yet.
I did a little on-line Christmas shopping last night and am feeling ahead of the game! Now, the question is how to get it past the kids when the UPS man drops it all off. Maybe the UPS guys should all wear seasonally appropriate Santa uniforms and we could just kill two birds with one stone. Hey, Santa, nice legs!

Poor G! I hope he is feeling much better.
As for the Christmas presents, I’m like you. I start checking out all the specials around July onwards. I’ve had a few presents for my daughter for a couple of months now. She’s just spotted them up on the shelf in my walk-in robe. I must have moved them when I took down my son’s birthday presents. OOPS! She was happy with my explanation of Santa having to deliver some gifts early because he has soooooo many kids to see this year hehe
Good luck with your gift hiding!

Oh man. I am sorry to hear that. I thought he was all better. I saw you called… I was off to the airport – another week solo – UGH. I’ll call you in the morn.

Poor G! Poor Mommy! It’s so hard when they feel too bad to even be comforted! Praying he bounces back soon. Yay on the shopping … I need to get on the ball!

Hope G is on the mend soon.
I wish I was ahead of the game on shopping. I have hives just thinking about shopping for everyone.
