It was four short years ago today that my darling girls entered the world, forever changing mine.
How I was blessed with two beautiful little girls is beyond me. The hubby’s family had not had any girls in many, many years, so we were beyond surprised when we saw not one, but two “hamburger buns” on the ultrasound.
People are forever asking if they have different personalities. Well, of course they do! Just because they share a birthday does not mean they are the same person.
So, here are a few things I love about my dear middle children.
A (oldest goes first, right?)
- Your mothering instinct has already kicked in. You are a caregiver and a selfless soul.
- The way you shyly smile when someone pays any attention to you.
- The way you ADORE your older brother.
- Your sweetness.
- The way you want to help everyone.
- The way you STILL sleep with your arms up over your head.
- The girly girl in you.
- Your patience.
- The old soul that you possess.
- The way you dance and spin for me.
- Your stories and questions and endless hugs.
S (the little sister)
- Your passion and expressiveness.
- Your jokes (especially of the knock knock variety)
- The way you make friends so easily and treat everyone with kindness.
- The twinkle in your eyes that shows that little stinker inside.
- Your tricks and talents and dancing that you makes you so proud.
- Your wild side.
- Your stories and questions and all our chats.
- The tomboy in you.
- The girly side of you.
- The way you like to snuggle with me.
- How you fall asleep in the car 5 minutes from home.
You share a birthday, you share my heart.
